BASKETBALL: Lady Trojans defeat Walker; advance to Region Tournament Quarter Finals

The Lady Trojans defeated Walker 59-45  in the first round of the Region Tournament. WEIGHT COMPETITION: Groce and Lowe place first

Blake Groce and Jared Lowe placed first at the weight competition in LaFayette which was held on Thursday, January 22. Second place winners were Tanner Wilson, Cade Peterson, Cody Thomas, Logan Ball and Chandler Brown. Coleby Casteel, Wyatt McDonald, and Dylan Burnett finished third. BASKETBALL: Trojans and Lady Trojans win over Excel

The Lady Trojans defeated Excel 50-24. Emma Phillips led the scoring with 13, followed by Riley Shirley with 12, and Sidney Gasaway with 10. The Trojans won a nail-biter outscoring Excel 52-45. Sam Norton hit 5 threes, four in the final quarter to put the Trojans ahead and ending with 21 points for the night.
